TheYou know spring is truly springing when the chestnut is in bloom. We have had such up and down weather this year!
In 2020, during the first pandemic pause, I remember checking the chestnut tree outside my window every morning. On sunny days the tiny developing leaves would reach and stretch into a sunlight-dappling canopy, and on cloudy and cold days the leaves would sag and close in on each other.

It was such a grounding and comforting part of my daily life, and now each spring I find myself gazing at that incredible tree and relating to it. Is it a day to stretch and bask in the sun? Or a day to fold in and practice a bit of self care?
